What Uncove is and who it's for

Uncove is a French creator-subscription platform — a homegrown answer to the OnlyFans/MYM model, built and run from Bordeaux by NLFL SAS (RCS Bordeaux 829 914 001, publication director Arnaud Méliande). It grew partly by acquiring the assets of the defunct French tipping site uTip, and earlier existed as a Tinder-style app and a "love-money" social network before settling on today's subscription format. What makes it unusual is that it deliberately mixes mainstream influencers (sport, lifestyle, comedy) with glamour and adult creators on the same site, much like MYM. It targets established creators — especially French-speaking ones — who can bring their own audience, rather than beginners hoping to be discovered.

Fees and payouts: the numbers

The headline economics are competitive. Uncove takes a 20% platform fee, so creators keep 80% of the pre-tax value of subscriptions, pay-per-view media, paid video calls and tips. That share drops to 70% only when a fan was introduced by a Promoter/VIP or under a paid collaboration. This is in line with mainstream rivals like OnlyFans and Fansly.

Payout terms are simple and, for European creators, convenient:

• Payout minimum: 50 EUR wallet balance; if you don't reach it, the balance rolls over to the next cycle.
• Schedule: automatic bank transfer on the 1st of every calendar month (funds land a few days later), once identity and bank details are validated. Payouts can be paused.
• Method: bank transfer only — SEPA / IBAN-RIB. There is no PayPal or crypto cash-out for creators, though you can change your payout currency.

One clause deserves a hard look. Uncove's own creator terms (CGSU Art. 8.1) are worded so that, read literally, "the Creator pays the Company a commission of 80%" — i.e. the platform keeps 80%, the opposite of the marketing. The creator-favourable 80/20 split has to be inferred from context, so get it confirmed in writing before committing. Note too that commission is non-refundable even when Uncove refunds a fan; the refund is deducted from your balance, and if it exceeds what you're owed, Uncove can invoice you.

Verification and content rules

Uncove is strict on identity. Every creator must complete mandatory ID verification — front and back of a government ID plus a selfie holding it — is 18+ only, and is processed internally in about 72 hours. On top of that, applications are gated by a social-following requirement (roughly 500+ followers on a linked account plus "engaging content"), and AI-only creators are not accepted "until further notice." Fans must be 18+ and can face discretionary anti-fraud checks.

On content, Uncove is an 18+ platform that permits adult/NSFW material — it uses adult payment processor Epoch and publishes an 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping statement — while still fronting mainstream influencers. The terms prohibit anything involving minors, non-consensual or hateful content, violence, illegal substances and impersonation, and formally ban proposing, soliciting or promoting sexual relations for financial consideration, i.e. prostitution and escort services. AI-generated or AI-modified content must carry a profile badge, and creators who took a paid collaboration are bound by an exclusivity clause with a steep penalty (six months of earnings for a breach).

For creators: tools and discovery

The toolkit is genuinely all-in-one: monthly subscriptions, PPV private media, paid DMs, bookable paid video calls, tips and donations, a shop, livestreams, promo codes, scheduled posts and automated messages, plus anti-leak protections and granular feed/search visibility controls. There's also an Ambassador affiliate program paying 10% lifetime commission on referred creators' revenue, taken from Uncove's share rather than the referred creator's.

Unlike leaner monetization toolkits such as Fanvue, Uncove offers real discovery surfaces — a public directory, a news feed and a search/explore page. The catch is how ranking works: the algorithm rewards on-platform engagement and consistent posting but weights external traffic most heavily. In Uncove's own words, the more subscribers you bring from outside, the more it promotes you. Combined with a small, mostly francophone base, discovery is real but you'll still supply most of your own traffic.

Reputation is mixed but not damning. On Trustpilot, Uncove sits at 3.7/5 from 84 reviews (55% five-star, 20% one-star), with the profile claimed in December 2023. Positive reviews call it a "professional" app and a "good alternative to OF or MYM," and one creator says it's "really good for my business." The company is visibly engaged, replying to around 84% of negative reviews.

The complaints cluster tightly. The biggest is the prepaid-wallet/credit system: fans across the Netherlands, Germany and Canada report topping up money and then being unable to subscribe or get a refund — the main trigger for "scam" labels. Others report subscriptions not working after payment, a strict no-refund policy, and slow support (email/WhatsApp/Discord only, no phone). On the creator side, some applicants say they were rejected for "not enough followers" despite meeting the stated bar, alongside ID-verification and signup glitches. No Reddit or forum sentiment could be gathered, so this picture rests mainly on Trustpilot.

But the self-contradictory commission clause, bank-transfer-only monthly payouts, refund clawbacks and a wave of prepaid-wallet complaints from fans keep it firmly in "promising but prove-it" territory.
