What MYM is and who it's for

MYM — short for "Meet Your Model" — launched in 2019 in Lyon and has grown into the largest French and francophone fan-subscription platform, pitched as Europe's home-grown answer to OnlyFans. The company cites 15 million-plus users and 500,000-plus creators, though those are marketing figures rather than independently audited numbers. It's an adult-tolerant platform where creators sell monthly or annual subscriptions, pay-to-unlock media, tips, custom content and private live streams to their fans.

The honest framing most independent reviewers land on is that MYM is a secondary platform. If you already have a francophone audience, or you want European regulatory footing, it earns its place. If you're hoping the platform itself will hand you an audience, temper expectations — that's exactly where MYM disappoints.

Fees and payouts: the numbers

MYM takes a 25% commission on subscription revenue, so creators keep 75% — the same headline split as OnlyFans (see our OnlyFans review). The cut is category-tiered and shrinks with higher earnings: guides report creators keep roughly 80% on private/PPV media and about 90% on tips, and a SuperStar program for active, compliant, high-earning creators returns around 1% of commission on subs and private media. There's also a 10% lifetime referral commission on creators you recruit.

Two caveats keep effective take-home below the advertised split. Some creator guides cite a roughly 7% bank/transaction fee applied before the split, and MYM enforces holding periods before earnings become payable:

• ~15 days for monthly subscriptions
• ~60 days for yearly subscriptions
• ~7 days for tips and private/PPV media

Once your balance clears the payout threshold — reported as about $50 of validated earnings, though some sources say $100 and MYM's own pages don't confirm a figure — you choose your cadence: twice-weekly, weekly, twice-monthly or monthly. Payouts go out by bank transfer/IBAN (SEPA) or PayPal. The flexibility and frequency here are a genuine strength; the two-method limit and the PayPal-dispute complaints (below) are the trade-off.

Verification and content rules

Onboarding is thorough. Creators must supply a government ID, a selfie/photo verification, mobile-phone confirmation and bank or PayPal payout details, and — unusually — post at least five photos or videos and have at least one subscriber before the account goes fully live. As a French/EU platform, MYM also operates under France's double-blind age-verification regime, in force since 2025.

On content, MYM draws a clear line: public and free posts may not contain nudity, while nude or explicit material is allowed in the paid/private area after manual moderator approval (reportedly within about 24 hours). Prohibited categories are the standard serious ones — illegal content, CSAM, non-consensual or unverified third-party content, hate speech, harassment, violence, terrorism, weapons, counterfeits and illegal gambling. The no-nudity-in-public rule matters for marketing: your free teasers have to stay clothed.

Tools and discovery

The toolkit is broad. Alongside subscriptions you get direct chat, "push" pay-to-unlock PPV media (MYM's own blog cites an average private-push price around €45), fan-initiated custom content requests where the fan proposes and you set and approve the price, plus tips, private live streaming and a webshop/blog/"storyline" for extra revenue streams.

The differentiator on paper is discovery. Unlike platforms that are pure paywalls, MYM runs an internal search engine, a recommendation algorithm, an Explore/Feed tab and featured-creator placement on the homepage — infrastructure that can, in theory, surface a new creator with no outside following. The reality check: creators widely report that the traffic this discovery actually delivers is low. The machinery exists; the audience flowing through it, for most, does not.

MYM's public reputation is genuinely decent. Its Trustpilot score sits around 4.2/5 ("Great") across roughly 2,000 reviews — high for this category — and scam-check sites rate the domain as legitimate. Reviewers repeatedly praise a responsive onboarding/support team and describe payments as reliable with flexible cash-out options.

The criticism is just as consistent, and it deserves to be stated plainly:

• Low traffic and engagement is the near-universal creator complaint. Independent reviews describe few or zero sales without an existing audience — one reviewer reported zero sales across 2025.
• Support thins out past the FAQ, and direct help can feel "distant."
• On the fan side, there are recurring "tip loophole" complaints — a fan tips for promised content, receives something else or nothing, and MYM declines to intervene because it's logged as a tip — plus at least one 2026 report of an account blocked after a PayPal dispute.
• Fees and holding periods erode the effective take-home relative to the advertised splits.

How MYM compares — and the verdict

MYM matches OnlyFans on the 25% fee but trails badly on organic reach, while leading on European regulatory positioning.
