Flat 20% fee — creators keep 80% of every revenue stream. You cannot withdraw until you have $20.
For context: 30 of the 61 platforms here with a headline share on record advertise the same 80%, so the headline rate separates almost nobody. What does separate them is whether they keep to it — on 33 of 71, the real take-home is below the number advertised. Compare all 71 →

How OnlyFans payouts work: the hold, the minimum and the transfer
Keeping 80% is only the first number. The one that shapes a creator's month is when that money can be withdrawn, and on OnlyFans three things decide it: a pending hold, a payout minimum and the transfer itself.
From a fan's payment to your bank
- A fan pays by card, in US dollars.
- The earnings enter a pending balance — visible in your dashboard, not yet withdrawable — for about 7 days, extended to 21 days in some regions and for newer accounts.
- After the hold they become your available balance.
- You withdraw: manually at any time, or on an automatic weekly or monthly payout.
- The transfer takes roughly 3-10 business days to arrive.
Add the clocks together and the earliest a dollar earned today can reach your bank is about a week and a half away — the 7-day hold plus 3 business days — while the 21-day hold and a slow transfer make it more than a month. Newer accounts are the ones on the longer hold, so a first payout is the slow case by design: do not plan cash flow around it.
Why the hold exists
Holds like this exist because a card payment can be disputed after the sale. Holding earnings for a set period keeps the money in reserve against those chargebacks, instead of the platform clawing it back from you later. So a sale shows in your pending balance at once, and becomes yours to withdraw only when the hold ends.
The minimum depends on how you are paid
The $20 minimum is for direct bank transfer (ACH in the US), with no service fee on that route. Wire transfers need roughly $200 and carry higher bank fees, and international SWIFT transfers and e-wallets such as Paxum and Skrill come with higher minimums and varying fees. So the minimum you see quoted is the cheapest route's, not every route's: until your available balance clears the one for your method, it stays where it is.
Verification comes first
Onboarding asks for a government ID plus two photos or selfies, your bank and payout details, and a UK VAT number if one applies. Anyone else who appears in your content must be verified 18+ with a signed release on file. These are part of creator onboarding, so they come before the first payout, not after it.

OnlyFans fees — FAQ
Q. How much does OnlyFans take?
Flat 20% fee — creators keep 80% of every revenue stream. That leaves creators 80%. 30 of the 61 platforms with a headline share on record advertise the same 80%.
Q. What is the minimum payout on OnlyFans?
$20 via direct bank transfer (wires around $200 minimum). Manual anytime or automatic weekly/monthly; ~7-day pending hold (21 days in some regions), then roughly 3-10 business days to arrive.
Q. Is OnlyFans cheaper than the alternatives?
It is the same as almost everywhere: 30 of the 61 platforms with a headline share on record advertise 80%. The differences are in the payout terms and in whether the headline holds.
Q. How long do OnlyFans payouts take?
There are two clocks. Earnings sit in a pending balance for about 7 days (21 days in some regions and for newer accounts) before they can be withdrawn. Once you withdraw — manually, or on an automatic weekly or monthly payout — the transfer takes roughly 3-10 business days to arrive. A first payout is the slow case, because newer accounts get the longer hold.
Q. Why is my OnlyFans payout showing as pending?
Because of the hold. A card payment can be disputed after the sale, so earnings stay pending for about 7 days (21 days in some regions and for newer accounts) before they move to your available balance and can be withdrawn.
Q. Do payout fees come out of my 80%?
The commission and the transfer cost are separate. OnlyFans' cut is taken from what fans pay, leaving you 80%. Moving your share out by direct bank transfer carries no OnlyFans service fee, from a $20 minimum; wires need roughly $200 and carry higher bank fees, and SWIFT transfers and e-wallets such as Paxum and Skrill have higher minimums and varying fees.
