Remove a listing
The creators listed here are imported from public directories. Nobody was asked first. If you are one of them, or you act for one of them, you can have the listing taken down and you do not have to explain why.
What happens
- Every row for that handle comes down, not just the one you sent. A handle can exist here twice — once from each source we import — and a takedown that left the other serving would not be a takedown.
- The pages return 404 and leave the directory, every ranked list and the sitemap.
- The handle also goes on a list the importer itself checks, so no later import can put it back. That is enforced in the database, not by a script remembering to.
- Search engines take a few days to drop a page they have already crawled. If you still find one after that, send the address with your reference.
- You get a reference either way. If we could not match what you sent to a listing, the request is still recorded and a person reads it — nothing is thrown away for being imprecise.
Copyright
This is the right route for a copyright notice too, and no photograph is hosted here — the listing pages carry none. What a notice should contain is set out in the copyright policy; put it in the note field, or send the page address and we will come back to you if anything is missing.
About our email address. Mail for this domain is not set up yet, so anything sent to compliance@fanschart.com may bounce. The form above is the route that works. We would rather tell you that than let you write to an address nobody is reading.
